Established in 1946 for the production of nitrogenous fertilizers. Calcium Nitrate 15.5% N Production started in 1951.
In 1961 built a Sulphuric Acid unit to product 100000 ton Ammonium Sulphate 20.6% N, production started in 1963.
A new contract signed with BASF to establish Ammonia plant ( 360 ton/day) and Nitric Acid plant ( 4 x 225 ton/day ) and plant of Ammonium Nitrate 26% N ( 380000 ton/year).
Because of the war, Suez factories stopped operation in 1968.
In 1968 it was decided to transfer Ammonium Nitrate 26 % plant to Talkha site the production of which commenced in 1975. Nitrogen was raised to 31 % and then to 33.5 % in 1976 and 1988 respectively.
After a great victory in October 1973, Calcium Nitrate 15.5%N Plant restarted in 1976 after repairing and maintain the unit .
In 1983 new plant for product Sulphuric acid replaced the old one, Ammonium Sulphate restarted after repairing and maintain the unit.
In 1993 a new Ammonia unit was operated replacing the old units operating since 1951, at Suez site.
In 1995, Ammonium Nitrate (Nitrolin) 33.5% started produced.
On Feb. 1999 the two locations of Suez and Talkha were separated to form two independent companies . They are EL Naser for Fertilizers and El delta for Fertilizers, respectively
